# Hollywoodbets Durbanville Saturday 18 November 2023 – Comments by Warren Lenferna

Race 1: Preview: KING OF SPIN (9) ran a cracker on debut but followed that up with a below par effort. In saying that, he was far from disgraced and should go very close. PLAZA ACCORD (5) ran an absolute cracker on debut in KZN and with that run under the belt should be much the wiser to the task at hand. He can get KZN trainer Peter Muscutt’s stint off to a flying start. MISTER LINCOLN (6) is well tried, can be forgiven for his last run and makes his local and stable debut – value for the quartet. (Warren Lenferna 9-5-6)

Race 2: Preview: PETTEIA (6) has been knocking loudly at the door in KZN and looks cherry ripe for the gold! Richard Fourie retains the ride which is always a positive. They are the winning suggestion. SPEED RACER (8 ) clearly relished the rise in trip last time when nearly winning. He should go very close again and has strong each way claims. LINDBERGH (1) from the best draw, is a must for most bets. (Warren Lenferna 6-8-1)

Race 3: Preview: QHAWEKAZI (9) has run two very encouraging races thus far and looks difficult to oppose. She nearly got it all right last time – in form Richard Fourie sticks with her. FASTNET FILLY (6) caught the eye on debut when finishing seventh, just five lengths off School Policy, where Qhawekazi was third. She can improve to get much closer. TICKING BOMB (8 ) was also in the same race won by School Policy and plenty of improvement can be expected from her too. (Warren Lenferna 9-6-8 )

Race 4: Preview: UNCONQUERABLE LADY (1) gets 54kg’s and gate 1! She was an impressive winner las time at surprisingly long odds. It is highly unlikely those odds will be available today. She is confidently selected to follow up. MONTELENA (7) has run two promising races since winning her maiden by over a length and has strong each way claims. Her last run was particularly good when nearly winning. GIMMETHATPEARL (3) trotted up when making a winning debut and could end up being absolutely anything – respect and include. (Warren Lenferna 1-7-3)

Race 5: Preview: BARATHEON (9) is in mustard form and merely found Mucho Dinero’s finish too strong last time. He is the firm first choice. SUGAR MOUNTAIN (3) has been winning and winning well recently. He has won three times from his last four starts – big runner and ROCKPOOL (2) can be expected to do way better than he did last time – do not ignore. He has ability. (Warren Lenferna 9-3-2)

Race 6: Preview: DOUBLE CHECK (8 ) ran a very good race last time when second to Flower Of Saigon. She can go one better. MY FLOWER FATE (9) is always there and thereabouts and although being a beaten favorite in her last two starts, can make amends – serious claims and LADY SILVANO (11) and SILVERLINKS (1) can never be ignored from any bets, they should be in the firing line – respect and include. (Warren Lenferna 8-9-11)

Race 7: Preview: POMODORO’S JET (1) starts from the best draw, carries a handy galloping weight and should have come on plenty from his last run when more than likely needing it. His form is solid and he is the one they have to set their sights on. ROSH KEDESH (2) has solid overall form and should be hitting the line hard in the closing stages – big runner. FUTURE TURN (4) is never too far off the action, and another determined effort can be expected from the son of Futura. (Warren Lenferna 1-2-4)

Race 8: Preview: METAR (8 ) is knocking loudly at the door and looks cherry ripe to go one better and notch up her next career win. CALLMEGETRIX (5) has a live hope here based on her very encouraging post maiden run – go close and PRINCESS IZZY (2) won her maiden effortlessly and could end up being absolutely anything. Include her in the quartet perm. (Warren Lenferna 8-5-2)

Ends 😊

Some thoughts on the card
Race 1: Plaza accord could need the run , king of spin comes from weak formlines , Gravity the right one for me
Race 2: Lindbergh looks ready to win and it's today or never for me , banker in all my bets
Race 3: Qhewkazi all the rage , Fastnet Filly wasn't far behind this one on debut run and should get much closer this time , exacta looks the way to go

I think not an easy card - no respite from last night

I'm with Craig in the first two, in the 3rd I think Ellorix could give the top 2 a go - then it gets really difficult
