Jockey of Universal Love  made not much of an attempt attempt whatsoever to be in the mix from the off. Then tried a run on the outside from the 3furlong mark giving the horse far too much to do so by the time the business end arrived the horse was out of puff. Trainer should have a stern word as that’s two poor rides on well backed favourites.

How good is the turf at the Vaal compared to Greyville, yesterday. I understand conditions are different, but Greyville should recover sooner IMO, and this is not the case. 
The kickback at Greyville looked much worse, and I attribute this to the poor layering of the incorrect soils... Too much quick solutions?

Agree 100% with CnC. Horse drifted alarmingly in betting and was ridden accordingly. Going well on outside then switched in behind tiring horse. Makes one think...
