Well NO interest shown in this meeting so far , so let me open here.
Let me start the ball rolling.... It is not EASY for us small time owners to have shares in race horses these days.
I have a share in a baby R 2 - SINGLE COMBAT... let me start by saying this horse was PURCHASED in JULY 2024 at the local JHBG sales.
who would have thought that I would have had to feed this fella for 13 MONTHS........ before he got to the track !!
Oh he got to the track - 2 weeks ago Sat we made the trek out to TURFFIES....... we were Race 2, he went down to the start O.K...... next thing
just before loading.... SINGLE COMBAT - SCRATCHED by the VET...... apparently NOT striding out !
so here we try again tomorrow - hoping he at least gets a run this time,.... apparently showing NOTHING at work in the mornings - so who knows what we can expect...... & I suppose that is why he is 45 / 1
we have the TALENTED young LADY APPIE on top claiming 4kgs....... hopefully she can try & earn us a stake cheque !
Only bit of confidence I heard from the course 2 weeks ago...... it may have been Candice who said.... after her horse won for the 2nd time....... & he shows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT HOME........ so I'd like a bit of that pie please.
This game is for Kings & c..nts & I suppose I am one of them ! John F I take my hat off to u sir, owning so many horses on your own ( of course I'M gonna exclude the big boys here )

.....at least you are in good company as Gerald is a good man and has a gr8 sense of humor....but you may be up against the odds.....I was at first intrigued seeing the ped on this as a top sire covered a gr8 mare in First Arrival that threw more than a few top class sorts....but when getting on in years the dam produced a colt by Vercingetorix named Summa Cum Laude and never raced but was sent to stud....the next and last foal.. Go Girl Go did not race either.....her 1st foal is Single Combat....but don't despair 1st foals can be champions as I saw a handful sell for big tom yesterday.....and 1st foal Golden Palm is also an unbeaten champion....so your little chap could be anything,,,,,,

R1) Mo Ment, getting 10kgs from the favourite, Breeze Over, never easy conceding weight over any distance.
R2) Midnight Flyer, the de Kock yard will have a line on their horse Miami Mountain through Clever Trevor who beat Midnight Flyer. If Miami Mountain is backed into favourite, then he is the right one here - hoping Midnight Flyer has improved on his debut run.
Added, R5, Argo Alley, holding form extremely well. Think the draw together with the weight will suite his style of running on the inside track
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
