Not a great card - but going is hard
R1:The first-timer does not have to be too bright to win this - as per the betting.
R2: Up and Up improving; she got 5 kgs from Moana in her last start - whether that form is good enough, the race will show; obviously the other 2 are Me And You and Empress of Peace; Trex On Fire looks held by these 3
R3: I think Jimmy Vega is the right one from Midnight Show and Kovil - again a shallow field
R4: F&M Handicap - beware; lots can win but Eight Hats is certainly overdue (431 days since her only win) - she has dropped 30 points ratings and has a good draw; the other Matchett runner (Oh My Gucci Girl) has place credentials from a wide draw. None of the other 8 is chanceless, so the best strategy is probably go 'Field'
R5: Kensal Green keeps on winning, but she has her work cut out at the weights; Lady Sabrina only has 52 kgs to shoulder but not drawn ideally; Streisand also drawn wide, but has place credentials, while Onetwobucklemyshoe is lightly raced and may improve, while even Opera Fan is not without a chance if the tongue-tie works
R6: Marathon event over 2600m and not the greatest field assembled; safest imo would be Chabal and Euphrates; Deception Pass tries further again but I don't think he stays ....
R7: But for the draw of 10 out of 10, Lost For Words is improving and should prove hard to beat; Kavady also drawn wide, but looks capbable, while Crystal Grove and Season's Greeting have chances from the draw
R8: Probably a 2-horse race; Brigitte Anne got it all together in her last start (gave subsequent winner Star of Magnolia 5,5 kgs and beat her by 6.5 lengths), while Trip Of Faith seems ready to win again - and both are drawn well
Enjoy
