7/2 DD is a HUGE price imo.
I hope it's still there come Sat post time - but I somehow don't think so!
To me the race has always has been a 6/4 "Pick 'em!"
With River Jetez 10's - Buy and Sell 12's - 20's bar.
Don't lose sight of the 'fact' that NOTHING sperates them on their last race meeting = 6/4 pick 'em!
May the Bets Horse win!!!
Respectfully, Jim.

Jim, the 'fact' is that DD received 2 kg more from PP in the July than she will receive on Saturday. That alone should account for DD not winning. Another fact is PP runs better at Kenilworth than Durban, and is certainly more suited to Kenilworth than Greyville.
In my book PP has had a better prep than DD. Remember DD had a perfect prep in the Durban season but by the trainers account was only half fit for the Paddock Stakes, a mere 3 weeks ago, who's to say DD will even be right on Saturday?
With so much doubt over her fitness, being out at the weights and taking on PP in his back yard I think 5/1 is still a fair price on DD. There are many factors that go into winning a race but I truly believe the only way PP can lose is if he has bad luck in running, injury or serious jockey error. On abiility, form, and weights there is surely only 1 winner. Obviously the race wont be run on paper and shit sometimes happens but if this race was in Hong Kong PP would be 1/5, not 9/10.
On another note Justin Snaith has been a trainer for a number of years, how a high achieving and well respected trainer prepares a half fit horse for a big race and then fails to notice she is half fit is actually beyond me. But thats another discussion altogether...

All fair points Sasky, but you see I've believed that DD is the next Sun Classique, since last summer well B4 the July!
So I'll take an improving 'Great' Filly over anything, anyday!
Bottmline: not seen the best of this Filly yet - believe what was said about her last race I DO!
As for 2kgs worse off etc. It's been 6 months, MORE than enough time to 'find' more than 2kgs of improvement.
So, I suppose we'll agree to disagree, I'm holding thumbs that she is 5's on sat as that is a money-back e/w bet to nothimg!
May the best Horse win - and let's hope for a 'clean' run race.
I have a 'gut feeling' that DD will be cl;oser to the pace than you expect, and as I've said previously, the race will prob be won by the one who gets the first run on the other.
Win, lose or draw, I really hope that DD gets to the Breeders Cup, something I was looking forward to for Sun Classique.
For like her, I believe 100% that DD will prove herself the Best Filly in the World this year!
All the best to the connections, of all runners on Saturday and once again - may the best Horse win!
Respectfully, Jim.

The only time I saw DD was at the July and she looked like a big baby to me.
She is bred to nothern time so was a 3 1/2 at the July.
Hopefully she has matured some and has got plenty of my cash already.

Exactly TT!
That talented, at such a young age = WOW!
All I know is that like SC, I wish I owned even a toenail of DD.
BUT it is still a Horse race, and nothing is certain + I think a lot of River Jetez - and of course you can't take PP for granted truely a fabulous Horse!
Like you TT, I'm really forwrd to the race on Sat - may the best Horse win!
Jim.

I think Pocket Power will win comfortably.
Ivory Trail's last run brings him right into it, and to me he represents the value at 25/1. I will be taking swingers and exactas.
