Our Giant is a miler, and is 0-6 down in previous meetings with PP.
If Marcus prefers that to Smart Banker.......
People who backed Smart Banker ante post must be delighted to see that Brian Nyawo is riding it!! (fine young rider as he is)
Agree #'s 15-18 all have no real chance.
Outcome deserves her place though. She is a Gr1 winner, and has won 10 at Greyville. Also unlikely stayer however.
She would have been better off defending the Garden Province she won last year

Also no Doug Whyte , Schofield and Lloyd as in years gone by.
Why?? Prior Commitments ? Zuma factor? Recxession ? No good rides?

Everything points to PP doesn't it..... Real race involves the first 12 horses.... Which does narrow it down in terms of one or two quartet bankers...

Kapil also a miler, even his trainer admits its his best distance, can't see it winning the July.

Out of interest:
Most successful saddle cloth number = 3 - 10 wins
Most successful draw = 7 then 4 then 5
Horse with same saddle cloth and draw number = winner on 5 occasions
Draw number and saddle cloth number varying by 10 units i.e draw 13 cloth no. 3 = 10 winners with draw 13 and saddle cloth number 3 most successful, 3 occassions.
For those who dont follow draws.... Dynasty won the july from draw 20, so technically dont rule anyone out....
The longest priced favourite to win the july was at odds of 6-1.

With Pocket Power drawn 1 what's the likelihood of the other close jockeys boxing him in?
