If Dick Cheney were one of my critics I too would be worried for if he could fool 200 million Americans that Iraq had WMD and that Saddam was responsible for 9/11 I too would be concentrating on avoiding any damage. What you forget that before he can start doing his job he has to clean up the mess that the Republicans left for him.

Awhile ago I withdrew from this site because of deleted and manipulated threads.

Just as popping in regularly becomes habit, so did giving it a miss after a short time. The Howes thread was irresistible to me and so I started to follow abc again.

As any consumer, all one can do is vote with one's feet. I agree that obscene or disgusting posts should be deleted, but even semi-sane opinions must stand.

Masters of open forums must realise that a successful site will generate traffic, friction and heat, without which the whole thing is a damp towel.
