Beyond Measure wins at 6-1 with the bookies yet R2.30 a win and R1 a place on the tote, Nostradomus is alive and well having a full go on SA racing...

That truly is not possible.

The horse was not even second or third favourite?!?!?!?!?!?

How can it be tote favourite at 13/10???????????

Someone please, please ask Phumelela to explain this one away????????

Again my question; how did those Aussies manage to put all their money on a 6/1 shot? Maybe becaouse it was looking like a winner from 400m out?

This is really a course for concern.

Sometime late last year, someone on racingweb's podcast said that these things is happening with hong kong punters, punting huge amounts on Gauteng racing, hence the strange payouts.
(i even ask on the clan if someone knows when this is happening )

Could it be that someone, somebody, or everybody is behind this.

First 4 Races Today:
Race 1: 2 Country Girl - 18/10 SP R2.10 Tote Win
Race 2: 2 National Play - 2/1 SP R2.10 Tote Win
Race 3: 3 Twilight Wolf - 3/1 SP R3.00 Tote Win
Race 4: 5 Beyond Measure - 6/1 SP R2.30 Tote Win

All four of these horses shortened dramatically at the off. If Phumulela want people to back win and place's through the Tote they need to do something fast. I only play PA's and Pick 6's now on the tote. All my win and place bets I do through my bookie, at least I know what I am going to get and not this tote lottery.

I see this has also been mentioned on the Co-Mingled thread.

According to the tote board he did. Another R1,70 win on an 18/10 shot disgrace. At lease I took 2/1 with my bookie.
