I have to say I am often inclined to feel the same as Newturf, but this storm shall also pass.

Newturf you can't blame Dave for nonsense that gets posted here. Your info is much appreciated so my advice would be to relax and rather educate the punters with your informed opinions, which can only be of benefit to the game...

Newturf what a pity - your stable has become a force in PE and perhaps the storm will blow over quickly. Regardless of your postings/or lack of them I will continue to watch your stable as it is a breath of fresh air in PE(a centre that can only become better and better)

Good evening all, just been watching the rugby

Newturf we try to run a 24/7 uncut forum and let the punters have their say, you have no idea what we have to bat behind the scene.

I would hope you continue with your valuable contributions and Sat is another day

good night all

Ive also got to agree with Newturf in racing you have got to take the good with the bad.It seems to me Rad is a very good winner but doesnt seem to take losing that well.Fransie is an absolute gentleman and would never do what happened today intentionally and Im sure in hindsight once Rad and Gavin have cooled down and realized that it was only a horse race and no-one died an apology to Fransie is in order.

I thought I was the worlds biggest conpiracy theorist, but this is just ridiculous.

I have watched the replay about 10 times now.Unfortunately there is no head-on,but these are the facts:

DJ & Classic Lecture enter the straight exactly next to each other. The False rail is set about 610m from home and racing side by side DJ & Classic Lecture both go in,towards the rail and on the inside of All Ablaze. The incident takes place about 375m from home where Classic Lecture seems to lug slightly right towards the rail, causing DJ to check. At this stage Classic Lecture was in fact about 0,5L in front of DJ.DJ checks severely, and drops about 2-2,5L off Classic Lecture. The difference between DJ and Classic Lecture is 1,5L @ the line.

To infer that anything more than normal race interference is involved here is simply ridiculous.

I didn't see the incident; but the reaction from both sides seems a bit overboard (especially from the DJ camp); this is HORSE racing not some PC game; things have gone 'wrong' in the past and will no doubt go 'wrong' in the future, take the good days with the bad days and move on ..... just my opinion.

Hi all...

Just read all the posts and yes when you had a big few whiskys to calm yourself before the race and a few more after the incident you sometimes let your emotions get the better of you...ThE word "rig" might have come forward harsh at the time but i do apologise for that and when i was referring to that i was upset with our own jock causing the false start but it was DJ's own fault as he was to eager to go and nudged the gate open and not our jock...

Furthermore i do apologise to newturf if it sounded that way and as others mentioned and criticised me i can take one on the chin and am not a bad loser. I can guarantee everyone that if the bumping incident didn't happen and we still got beaten i would have still taken it in good spirit and therefore i congratulate MR. Greeff as i always stated from the start should the DJ fluff his lines ALL ABLAZE will be the one to beat.

I respect newturf and their stable and as i and Mark had a brief chat before race 1 [where i fancied Outofthisworld] we discussed how much hard work it takes to feed 23 horses and ticking them over and yes their horse was unlucky in first due to restless horse drawn next to them.

But to come back to the point as newturf stated, horses are inexperienced and all jocks go for the win, but i just feel Fransie Herholdt, an experienced rider who has ridden internationally tried to go through a gap that wasn't there and even if he was a half length passed, our horse only shifts into gear 200m out and we had no chance whatsoever...I respect newturf, their horses and what they do for the game and my argument is not against you but i have an issue with Fransie as i was also highly unhappy on Tuesday 9 February at Turffontein - KRUGER GOLD - as Fransie rode my horse totally the opposite he was instructed, and i personally have asked the stipes for an enquiry.
To make it clear, i sincerely apologise if my statement came out strongly but wasn't directed at any person, or any other stable or owners for that matter. I was upset at the situaton at the start and to be honest i had a feeling in my heart we were going to lose as Dancing Kiwi was our pace maker and got scratched. Furthermore i take my hat off to the horses that beat us on the day with respect and they were the better on the day and i take it as just another defeat.

I respect newturf standing up for Fransie, and i agree your horse whom you have a high regard for was inexperienced and mistakes happen, but i just feel Fransie is a highly experienced jock and jocks shout at each other in races and he could have been more cautious. I have an issue with Fransie as 2 incedents in a week makes me question his ability. I know it's easy to stand on the outside and not riding one self but these riders forget they are trained professionals and was trained to make split second decisions...

After all this forum is about being transparent and that is what i do...being transparent...

I look forward to seeing newturf keeping on tipping us winners and us being competative on the tracks...I won't let a minor incident like this spark up political issues...and as i said i apologise for my strong, inappropriate wording as it wasn't aimed at anybody but as stated before...

Al can say is the DJ will be back...sound after race except for minor scratch and dented pride...but he'll live to fight another day...

Shot Radetsky for taking it on the chin,as long as your positives outway your negatives,im aware that your anger had you on a high that day,but its good to sit down later and revue, the result stands and it hurts to accept it.Things can only get better.
