you know Greg I think we need to put this debate to bed- We have enough local horsemen here that have raced abroad so maybe we all need to be told why the riders in the UK race in the slop and our guys don't? Perhaps the soil is different or our grass is not comparable or poor drainage etc I'm sure there must be valid reasons? Safety for rider and horse first I guess. Who knows?

this all stems from all the aasholes who have run this industry into the ground and have been filling their boots at the same time..mdk said it very clearly spend the 50mil on an all weather track instead of lights..the fucken sand track was originally built so that if to much rain fell on the grass they could switch instead of abandoning racing.....boswell wilkie circus

Maybe its just disappointment on my side but all races were down the straight today, less danger surely? and secondly our tracks seem to have terrible drainage.... Time for that all weather track... that we ALL will agree on.

Why do they never call of a meeting for the ground being too firm? surely that`s more dangerous?

Hilton, when you drive to the Vaal the Boswell Wilkie Circus Tent9about 20km from the Vaal i suspect) still stands there as a reminder of the past glory of "Circus" days. Maybe racing is destined to go down that road too? Just a distant childhood memory - Sad but true.

More dangerous to the horse I expect - the pounding on the joints etc

it amazes me in this day and age where we have sent people to the moon over 40 years ago that you cannot cover a straight course of 1600metres....do we need albert einstein to reappear and invent something for us
