I like the look of lot 520 a lot. He is a Tiger Ridge out of Sporting Model. I have been waiting for this mare to throw a really impressive foal and without knowing too mych I'm really hoping it could be this colt.
Sporting Model was a super racemare who was very unsound.

Her 4th foal is an unraced filly by tiger Ridge called "sportsgirl"........

If I had the cash and if the confirmation was good, this one would certainly get some of my money ;)

South Africa loves unproven sires. Top price at the recent Grandwest sale was a Right Approach. Zeditave is no spring chicken but the reason he has only one lot is that he stands in Australia.

If i were buying I'd be looking at this horse (kingmambo, kitalpha, blue blood abounds)

....it don't matter what stallion you fancy to be the next BOOM sire....if he don't match/click to the damline you going to have invested in a potential dog....I quote " I got a Fort Wood for R500K at NYS and only won one race....look at that other guy he paid R350K for his and it won a July.....I was very unlucky that year....but wait my time will come....got a few Silvano's last year maybe one turns out to be a champion and I will show them"

True Muhtiman...best we follow the damline and damsires and match with right stallions as to following stallions per say. History has proven that few horses selling at R500 000 plus has ever become champs or injury free. History has proven most champions fall between the R1 000 [Cardinal Fury] and R500 000 price range.

Correct mr.Hawaii - Miesque can be traced strongly. Doubling up through Kingmambo [ Parade Leader] Kitalpha, Miesque's Son and other offspring will surely strenghten SA Produce and it's really nice that Scott Bros stands Miesque's Approval for a realistic price - R35 000 compared to Tiger Ridge - R80 000. I am looking forward to see the comparing stats as the US bred stallions have to prove they can produce Turf offspring. Love the breeding game - full of surprises...lol

RAD.....I like your selection as a future possible top sire however he may not be as suited to the band of mares where he stands...of
his 22 lots on NYS my selections are as follows 532,117,475 purely based on their pedigree picture....you get this FOC....but caution that they don't feature in my preliminary top 20....just grading them as I would for any 1st season sire.....there are few others like Jamaica's half sibling lot 54 that may work but at a greater sales price vs risk ratio.

Yip ...true Muhti...but you missed one lot [not gonna mention otherwise the breeder reads and bloats the price]...there are only 3 Miesque's on the sale that have suited damline pedigrees, two have 75% genes flowing over and one is 100% suited. I follow the lines back to 1790 and cross reference through all the siblings. The key ingredient can be found in the in all major sires damlines namely the FORLI / THONG combo of SPECIAL. In the stllion side Nearco, Nasrullah and Native Dancer is essential and makes for powerful combinations...I've learned that it is usually the stallions that ill perform on the track that pass on good genes through their female offspring and become good dam sires like Damascus Gate, Ernani, Sir Ivor etc. Watch out for Wolfhound, he might just become the next Northern Guest as a brilliant dam sire...

I also learned breeding strong dams [champions] like Jamaica with strong stallions doesn't always work and i rate that mating 75% and i'm not at least bit interested in that lot. I only fancy one lot of whole Miesque's Approval crop at sale and rate that the best mating of all lots on entire sale. PERFECT BREEDING...lol

....I agree with you on Wolfhound although he was a little squibbish he had a gr8 ped was under utilized with many breeders because of his location.....I honed in on his 1st LOCAL crop and at the top my list was an un-named filly that later became known as....SANGRIA GIRL...::o
