The champion is beaten. Nicky Henderson's Altior failed to take his record-breaking unbeaten streak to 20 as he was brushed aside by Cyrname, who recorded a decisive victory in the Grade 2 Christy 1965 Chase at Ascot.

Cyrname, Britain's highest-rated chaser who was ridden by Harry Cobden, went out at an even gallop and jumped all bar one fence perfectly en route to a huge victory over his chief market rival, who never got on terms.

Thor it's the distance that got him. Question is what would the result be over altiors distance. That's my argument about the ratings how can altior with his record be rated inferior. Take tiger roll. Should he not be rated higher than both of these. Nothing can touch him over the national trip so what should his rating be.
