No crowds means no having a silly bet due to too much alcohol consumption. Bookies are going to have to get plenty of hot jolly’s beat otherwise they could be facing financial ruin, so expect it to be 50/50 punters and bookies both happy come Saturday evening.

Cheltenham
Day 1

R1 APPRECIATE IT

R3 AYE RIGHT

R4 HONEYSUCKLE

Very sorry that Energueme will not be taking on Shishkin.
Not sure whether he would have won but would have been great race to watch

Unbeaten mare Honeysuckle, winner of the Irish Champion Hurdle, is around 9-4 favourite for the big race on the meeting's opening day, Tuesday. Honeysuckle will be ridden by Jockette Rachel Blackmore.

I started this thread one month and 6 days ago and my thoughts have not changed only the prices have reduced😢

With no crowds and a strange atmosphere, will it be a bookies or a punters week?

I am going to again touch on what should suit the punters on day one and day two:

APPRECIATE IT
SHISHKIN
HONEYSUCKLE (not easy race)
CONCERTISTA

Can all win and
AYE RIGHT should go close

If the punters are on a ROLL (not Tiger)

Day 2

MONKFISH
CHACUM POUR SOI
EASY LAND

Can also win, as prices are short
What about a smallish stake for a 30/1 ish ATC

With

APPRECIATE
SHIS
HONEY
CONCERT
MONK

See how long we last before we start chasing 🐴👍🙏

Good Punting

Looking forward too tomorrow now, bets worked out. Thank you Ryan for giving me some ammo with your superb performance at Wolves on Saturday.

Gonna be so strange to see the 1st race start and not hear the roar of the crowd :(

Been keeping an eye on the exchanges and the last race on opening day has been interesting , Galvin has drifted like a barge and Next Destination who was around 9/2 in places is now trading around 6/4 , will be interesting to watch

Thoughts on the card
Ballyadam can give the favourite a go in the opener , Shiskin bar a mishap at the fences should romp home ,

Well the big day has arrived with the exception of the big roar, after the first “and away they go”.

Only news is that all the fancies have shortened again.

Morning Clanners

Could hardly sleep for the last 2 nights with Cheltenham excitement and Ryan Moore winnings to spend this week😅

Will try five find value on the card...

Race 1: Metier 11/2
Race 2: Shishkin 1/2 can’t lose really but at 12/1 Franco De Port is worth playing with as well.
Race 3: Pym 12/1 is my fancy but the Mrs tells me Alnadaam at 10/1 is the business.
Race 4: Goshen is my head and heart today 5/1. Honeysuckle is obvious but no value there. Another outsider here to add in is Abacadabras at 8/1.
Race 5: I’m all on Roksana here at 5/2...
Race 6: Houx Gris 9/2 and Busselton 8/1 are the play here.
Race 7: Remastered 7/1, fire!

Have fun...
