South Australian racing marvel Flow Meter has done it again – winning his 19th race at start 188 at Strathalbyn on Wednesday.
Trainer John Hickmott says the 12-year-old just loves racing and he proved too strong for his rivals yet again, responding to the urgings of Jeffrey Maund to pip stablemate Ammo Loco by a nose in the Commercial Hotel Handicap (2,050m) at $7.
Flow Meter continues to defy father time – he made his debut on November 27, 2013 – and has been a marvellous horse for connections, collecting just over $760,000 in prizemoney.
“He gives me a buzz – I love him,” a delighted Hickmott told Racing.com after the race.
