Bookmaker dispute

Have a dispute with a bookie that refuses to pay out on a cricket test match draw.
It is the 2nd test Bangladesh vs South Africa 30 July 2015.
Both Hollywood and Betting World paid out on the draw.
Their website cricket rules are identical.
This bookie reneges, and I quote the reason verbatim as received:
(“With regards to this complain as well, the cricket Test match between
Bangladesh and South Africa.
Bangladesh batted first; DAY 01 First Innings
DAY 2 - No play ( Rained Out)
DAY 3 - No play ( Rained Out)
DAY 4 - No play ( Rained Out)

The match was then declared a DRAW, match rained out. Our rules states that
" THE RESULTS OF A MATCH IS A TIE WHEN THE SCORES ARE EQUAL AT THE
CONCLUSION OF PLAY, BUT ONLY IF THE SIDE BETTING LAST HAS COMPLETED ITS
INNINGS ( ie ALL INNINGS ARE COMPLETED)

In this match Bangladesh batted their first innings and they didn’t finish
that innings, South Africa did not bat at all. That is why all bets that
were struck on that market were refunded/void. Mr X”” should have
familiarised himself with these rules. Please follow the link below for our
rules.”)
I cannot understand their reasoning at all – apart from been deliberate obtuse.

This is the rule about test cricket that appears everywhere – (on all bookies websites and Gambling Boards websites)
Bets will stand on the official result provided at least one ball has been bowled. In the event of a tie then dead-heat rules will apply and bets on the draw will be losers.
Some have additional exceptions about the number of overs to be bpwled.

Any advise on what further recourse there is?

I dont know what you can do, but i can confirm that this bet should have been paid out as officially this match was started and completed with the result being officially ruled a draw.

YOu should be paid out. This was an official result and it even had a bearing on South Africa's position on the official ICC rankings. Also, as far as I know, there's a distinct difference between a tie and a draw in cricket (probably a very trivial detail but one that can be argued).

So according to there ruling there will never be a draw in test cricket as if all innings have to completed then I am thinking u will always get a winner.
As for an innings to be completed the last man is either out or he has hit the winning runs.

No doubt you should be paid out for your bet as there explanation is absurd, and officially that match did end up in a draw.

Exactly my thoughts ...................if equal runs are settled as a "dead heat"!!!!!!!!! then there should only be 3 bet types available-win on either team and "INCOMPLETE MATCH" ,as it is the only other possibility.................laying the draw becomes deceptive under their rules.

Was it WSB? As they have done something similar to me. Friends have pending legal action against them
