WSB - related bets
7 years 2 months ago
Does anyone have any comment/views on this? 2 weeks ago i took the following golf bet:
(2 ball) Apibarnrat/pieters - selection apibarnrat
(3 ball) Apibarnrat/pieters/an - selection apirbarnrat
(2 ball) Harman/johnson - selection harman
(3 ball) Harman/johnson/day - harman
I won the bet and the amount was settled. A week later i wake up and 1800 (50% of the winnings) have been deducted from my account. WSB calls this a related bet because 'Multiple bets which combine different selections within the same event are not accepted where the outcome of one affects or is affected by the other.'
I understand th is is in their t+c's but the bets have different risks associated. Is this considered fair? Any comments appreciated

That's just wsb - betting with them is dangerous and harmful to your pocket
their system should reject a related bet when you submit it - not days later
this is the way they do business - can you imagine how many "related bets" are accepted and then lose -
does the stakes get returned? -
no. obviously not - the punter does not give it another thought for he has lost
if it wins, they renege on it days later - they profit both ways
try a complaint to the gambling board, and you will get nowhere - paul potgieter will say he will revert to you .......................................

you can’t bet the same player to win 2 of 4 legs

why not?
both the bookie and the punter has the same chance to win the bet - nothing happens to change the odds or anything else
a related bet is where the odds of a future event may shorten as a result of the first event - not this bullshit
BUT the bookie and the punter do not have the same chance to win if the bet is accepted and then reneged - then only the bookie can win

.....and here again is WSB buying more bad press for a mear R1800.....I stay the f@ck away from bookies.....they should have seen this "error" and applied the rule on payout....just because they did not they hit the account later.....now we know why you cannot withdraw full original deposits
.....this is their bull shit buffer in case they f@ck @p.....they then can grab what they want in case of an error....I feel for punters who have a good win only to find later that half goes back because they(the bookie) made a mistake very petty indeed....better the devil you know.....than the one you don't.... :S
