Englander what then is your take on Rojo pulling back Welbeck in the first half. Penalty or not.

C&C
In most cases you are correct BUT there were inconsistent refereeing decisions yesterday. There is one case in mind...... Valencia get body checked and and tumbles over the line.....referee deems no foul. Yet Fallaini gets a card for the exact type of challenge.

hahahahaha Agra I cannot believe that I am hearing that from you of all people. Come on my friend you of all people should know how United have over the years gotten away with so much and won title after title on the back of biased refs. Re last night Arsenal should have had a penalty in the first half when Welbeck was tugged back. Re the booking that you talk of. Fellani got booked for the same challenge as it was his 5th foul of the game. Where the ref did get it wrong was not to show the Arsenal right back Ballerni a 2nd yellow in the 2nd half. Wenger quickly withdrew him and brought on a sub.

CnC in all truth I don't remember it. I do remember that the other day though there should have been a clear penalty given against Smalling. I am also "doubtful" over whether Rooney should have been given a penalty (Preston game?) when imo he went over theatrically with no contact from their keeper, I do accept the argument that it was a rash challenge from the keeper and perhaps Rooney had nowhere to go, but I can't say I was totally comfortable with it. Unlike some blind ranters, I try to be fair and honest and say it as I see it. I am not saying here that. last night, either booking was necessarily wrong nor that free kicks should definitely have been awarded, though my suspicion is that di Maria was, perhaps, hard done by. I do think though that if the challenge had happened just beyond the half-way line and the ref had seen the contact from the Arsenal player then it is far more likely United would have been awarded a free kick and quite possibly the Arsenal player would have been booked rather than di Maria. Who knows. I also think that Valencia made similar types of contact with Sanchez on a number of occasions during the match and was penalised every time. What was the ref thinking, that they should play in lanes?
That could just be the difference in "smart play" by the Arsenal players and much less "smart play" from the United players. It could also be to some extent down to reputation. Even last night di Maria went over 4 or 5 times and the ref gave nothing. Now that may have been correct every time, the camera was not close enough for me to tell if they were fouls but given that the ref saw no offence each time (not that he seemed particularly close to the action either on some occasions!) then maybe by the time of the main incident with di Maria he was simply fed up with him going to ground. I don't think it helped the situation either that he simply turned his back on di Maria and seemingly refused to discuss the matter with him, plenty other refs would have taken him to one side and had a chat. It may be fair though to say there were a number of United players around the ref and he just thought "why don't you all just fark off" lol and that's why he turned his back.
Now, in turn, do you feel the, previously booked, Arsenal defender should have been sent off following his foul on Young? Personally, I didn't. I thought it would have been harsh. But, if he had of been then a lot of people would have said he gave the ref little choice. Do I think di Maria should have been booked. Probably not. But because I have the latter opinion people think me blind/bias etc lol. Not so.

If you look closely Ramsey had a tug at Di Marias arm. Yes a free kick should have gone to United. Now United fans feel how the rest have felt for years when going to OT. But lets be honest here, United are far from frightening to play against at they were. They are extremely predictable and without any malice whatsoever I really think that Spurs will thrash United on Sunday

We choose to disagree over historic MUFC refeering bias. I think it is a load of crap to be honest, I have always reflected on individual "events" as I saw them and I have never had the feeling that United were given preferential treatment at OT.
I said earlier that imo United are a pretty poor side at the moment and as i said from the start, I am far from convinced we have the right man at the helm. And though I will never (hopefully, at least openly!) say I think United will get beaten etc, let us just say that I don't have a great deal of confidence in my 5-0 bets at the moment!

depends who researched the favourable decisions. Must have been Webb and Riley. On a great note I see that Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended by the BBC. Serves the tosser right.

Oh lord! The ref discussion.. When united play badly the refs are brilliant, as soon as we string 5 wins together the ref jibes begin.. And yes, I have faith in this united team and not too long we'll be hearing the return of those jibes.. How bout when adam johnson dived his way thru the season for MCFC and on two occasion won them penalties which resulted in a point salvaged, United lost the league on GD that year or how bout Drogba's offside by a steeplechase distance against United to beat them, chelsea went on to win the league by a single point that year.. Swings and roundabouts, at the end of the day every team gets their decisions, Liverpool got award penalties last season like they were going outta fashion but cudnt get over the line at the end.. Maybe that's why United are frowned upon when we get decisions, we took advantage and went on to win titles.. Those decisions then played a bigger part in the greater scheme of things.. Nobody wud mind united getting decisions and ending 8th..

In the last two years, Rafael gets given a red card for a tackle on luiz, luiz lays on the floor laughing.. Rafael gets fouled, ref doesn't blow, player runs into the box, rafael goes after him and wins it clean, penalty! Rafael again, handball against liverpool, clear ball to hand, nothing rafa cud do, penalty liverpool.. Same game, another penalty against Jones, for a foul on sturridge, jones clearly dus not touch him! Nani in the uefa champ league, gets a red for a high foot even the camera shows he had his eyes on the ball.. All good and well.. I accept the red.. but then in the next round javi martinez does the exact same thing and even worse as his leg was fully extended when he made contact with a players ribs, and guess what, not even a yellow.. Its shocking to say we get all the decision, there have been some in the past, shockers that we've got that have cost us league titles and uefa progression..

One thing I know,Sir Alex knew exactly when to retire.
But this week, the players have tainted the club.
Spitting
Diving
Captain haranguing the referee after every decision
Player grabbing refs shirt
Manager giving reporter staring contest in after match press conference
There's been 7 transfer windows since Mr.Reliable Gary Neville retired, where is your right back.
