Not one mention of how well Arsenal played. De Gea is a one man team

And it isn't doing Rooney any favours as well as he has to play out of position at times.. Mata having to sit on the bench for the "Rooney has to play" policy is a joke.. The sooner Rooney goes, the better imo..
Are you sure United has never played like that?

Team was built around Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ronaldo, Cantona, RVP...

Rooney always played second fiddle behind the strikers.
I can't speak for Cantona, that was before my time.. Ruud and RVP were out and out goalscorers, they had/have their position, they led the line well.. Nobody was forced to play wingback as wingers coz they needed to invent positions for them like we do for Rooney at the moment, they fitted within the structures, Ronaldo was a perfect match for United, with the philosophy of wingers under Fergie that was his strength for years, again, no need to shuffle around and change that philosophy.. At the moment we have no identify.. I hate this Rooney that runs up and down and we brag about his work rate, its one of the main issues again, getting into each others space, they look like headless chickens in midfield, nobody knows their role and Valencia was a makeshift RWB, when has Valencia at RWB become "a thing".. Fergie tried forcing Rooney out in his last season, every day I hope that he had succeeded.. But hey, I hope he holds the club at ransom again and the board decides to ship him off..

I have said this before and I will repeat it now.
1. P*ssface has to go.
2. United needs 2 good central defenders.
3. they need 1 creative midfielder.

Smalling and Carrick, should be a fringe player.
Players that should be sold at the end of the season are Evans, Jones, Januzaj and Fellani.

It is amazing that LVG substitutes Herrera (yes I know ..yellow card).

Di Maria should be given more time...AND YES i agree with C&C about the diving issues etc.
They think that they still playing in Spain. Remember most of the Spanish players did that earlier in the English season but most have not adapted.

One finally thing.... English commentators love blaming foreign players for any blunders but choose not to see the bigger picture.

That goal that was conceded by Valencia.... that blunder was initiated by JONES (who together with Evans, are the most useless defenders in the United side).
"Sideways Jones" could have played the ball forward to Carrick..... instead he choose to play it sidewards to Valencia who was "man on".

So... I say ...start building the team from the defence. It is no use having a attacking force when you are leaking goals.

The team was never built around one player! United always attacked as a unit BUT what they always had was at least ONE top goal scorer who could bag 20 in a season and the midfield provided a good chunk of goals as well. That's what made utd successful over the years.

agra you forgot to mention that United don't have the refs in their pockets any longer. A huge part of your success was down to refs favouring United. When that diver went down late in the match, the ref would have cheered as he pointed to the spot to give United a penalty. No longer and now you see the results. Your next 6 matches are going to see you slip down to 8th in the league

Spurs
Liverpool
Villa
Man City
Chelsea
Everton

not forgetting that Arsenal play you again in the 2nd last match of the season.

I actually thought Fellani was the only the player that troubled Arsenal last night.

You know.. C&C.... only a miracle can save United's year. I blame the manager. It is not easy saying this as a United supporter but anyone that can read the game will tell you the same thing.
What does LVG see in Januzaj.... he is a selfish player.... runs down to the byline and loses the ball. ....and as for Fellani... fcuk man.... he is always conceding free kicks in attacking positions. I will not mind it that happens when defending.

In hindsight the downfall with Moyes was that he coached in the shadow of Ferguson. His biggest issues was to bring his "mid table" coaching staff to United.
