Monaco were very impressive in the quarter-finals seeing off highly rated German team Dortmund by 6-3 on aggregate. They won the first leg 3-2 on the road and then followed up with a 3-1 home victory to seal the tie. They had previously seen off Manchester City on the away goals rule after both teams finished 6-6 all on aggregate after 2 legs. Monaco are undefeated at home in the Champions League this season winning 4 matches and drawing 1. They are also going well domestically and currently top the Ligue 1 table with a 3 point cushion over PSG and a game in hand.

Juventus saw off Spanish giants Barcelona in the quarter-finals. They hosted the 1st leg and won it 3-0 but perhaps an even more impressive performance was keeping Barcelona from scoring at home as the sides played out a 0-0 draw which was more than enough to see Juventus through to the last 4. Juventus had previously beaten Porto 3-0 on aggregate and they have not conceded a goal in their last 5 Champions League matches. They have won 4 and drawn 1 of their away matches in the Champions League this season and they have only conceded 1 goal on the road in these 5 matches. Juventus are well in command of Serie A with a 9 point lead over 2nd placed AS Roma with just 4 matches left to play.

These sides met in the Champions League playoffs in 2015 with Juventus winning 1-0 on aggregate and the sides played to a goalless draw in France.

Betting

Monaco 2/1

Draw 22/10

Juventus 15/10

Suggested bet: Both teams to score, NO, at 21/20.

Monaco tend to score freely at home but they are now up against the best defence around and my experience is that when a good defence meets a good attack it is the defence that normally come out on top. I think this could be a low scoring affair with perhaps a solitary goal deciding it.
