You gotta know when to hold them, know when to sell them
Know when to walk away and know when to run
You don't count your money when you're sitting above resistance
There'll be time enough for selling when the bull has done

Mac, Glaxo Smithkline sold their stake to raise capital, i wouldn't be in a hurry because of this as Aspen continue to make major profit from their Australian & South American subsidiaries. It also depends what price you bought at as well as a few other factors but i wouldn't worry just yet. If you were looking to make a quick buck and it is getting close to your purchase price then jump out but the forecast based on their overseas operations is not bad going forward. (Normal disclaimers apply :) )

Share was downgraded to underperform by Bank of america.
• Downgrade to Underperform; Lowering EPS, and PO to R380 Following 1H15A results Jamie Clark expects Aspen to underperform on a relative basis and we downgrade the stock to Underperform from Neutral, with the stock trading at 27x. We lower our EPS forecasts by 7% lowering our Price objective to R380 from R440 as a result. Acquisitions are always possible. However, we believe that using debt could be risky given USD strength, and using equity would reduce RoE that has previously been maintained.
• Aspen to be impacted by perfect currency storm. Aspen is short USD, through USD debt and USD input costs, in a world of USD strength. With a relative strengthening of ZAR versus its trading currencies, we see a triple impact on Aspen's results: 1) Lower reported revenue and profit growth; 2) Potential margin contraction where USD denominated costs are a significant input, and; 3) Increased financial expense from 64% of debt being USD denominated, as well as a reduction in the ability to deleverage
• A debt-funded deal may only offset earnings downgrades. Aspen highlighted it could potentially do a R6bn deal by increasing leverage to 3.5x net debt/EBITDA. In a best-case product-type acquisition this could yield 17% upside potential to our FY16E EPS. However, further adverse currency moves could push leverage higher, which would significantly reduce the company's flexibility on future deals

Topped up yesterday with another 1000 shares at average around R 373 a share. Expect upswing today. In the medium to long term this is a buying opportunity imvho so long as you are prepared to ride out the volatility.
