What are you doing on New Years Eve?
2 years 5 months ago - 2 years 5 months ago
Good morning all as the New Year approaches.
I had an early message from my sister to say they are already in party π₯³ mode and it was a sobering thought.
The good news is I remembered she is not in Scotland but on holiday in Australia.
We have friends joining us at around three this afternoon with the intention of pacing ourselves to midnight and we also attempt to make 2.00 in the morning to watch SKY news for the UK celebrations.
New Year tends to be a bigger event than Christmas for many Scottish born people as we say goodbye to the auld year and bring in the New Year.
Not sure if you have made any resolutions?
The normal would be to cut back on drinks, eat less, be healthier etc.
However we should consider that millions are starving on the planet and are probably unaware that today is no different to any other πͺ
We can only be blessed that we are still surviving and hopefully a couple of years left in the tank.π
We have had another exciting and informative year with ABC and we have a competition running for the Kings Plate and it should be fun.

As far as our passion for racing goes we also have a thread to cover the best way forward for racing and your comments and suggestions will be appreciated .

I am just taking this early opportunity to again thank you for all the contributions to the site in 2022 and we look forward to an improved 2023 against all odds.
I was going to end off with the traditional Auld Lang Syne from Rabbie Burns but it's a bit early.
Good Punting and health to you and your family and wishing you a prosperous New Year π

I have set up my tee pee outside dressed up with my traditional rain dance outfit.
Rain dance starts at 10 pm until 1 am.
Hopefully this will guarantee no muppets with huge crackers(Fireworks they are not) to traumatize my animals and Bonzai plants.

We apparently have load-shedding from 11 to 1 tonight so Ballito will likely be dark...will make the fireworks brighter so always something good in something not so good...if you care to see it !!
A healthy and happy and safe new Year to fellow Clanners...
