It looks like a banker. Hope JM will give him every opportunity not hugging the rail like what he did on Red Brick Fighter on Race 3. The rail position today doesnt suit horses which sit behind the speed.

Hey Eram you check that?
Zac 'don't back me on an odds on' Purton goes down yet again on the 5-10 shot but at least he got a place not run 4th as usual.
Got to down in history as the worst ever jockey on odds on shots to have ever ridden on this earth.

Jerry Chau has some nice rides, should boot home a few and can win the Jockey Challenge @ 7/1. I'm aggressive today, my gloves are off, HV is always unpredictable.

If I may...something to know/remember about Appies
....in HK and S.A..

They do best over Sprint distances (I would add 1400 aswell) Generally becoz most aren't too good at judging pace all to well,so try and follow them over sprints especially with frontrunners or handy types. To make it even more 'easier' check if their runners was near the front or in front during the last 400m of their last 2 races, check to see if he 'Gave a Kick' than when he gets an appy up be sure that they will win with a high SR in their next races if having a good enough draw especially at the valley. The claim of a appy kicks best the last 200m than it looks like the horses give that extra kick. CHAU is very good at sprints...but preferably with those he sits in 2nd or 3rd.

Anyways...that's my 2c of Appys from my research.

Examples today of what I spoke about above are MIG ENERGY and SPRINT FORWARD. Both ridden by CHAU today and both 'Gave a kick' lto. They do have others to beat in that respective races thou...but both should go close

Thank you. True i have seen that, the long distances get tactical and rarely do they have good judgment of pace.

R7, Mig Energy (7/2) will roll the favourite, better drawn with an apprentice claiming 5.0kgs, in theory 4.0kgs better off, and it's last two runs have been at this level/class. Favourite stepping up in class and drawn wider.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

@Heinrich. Remember the weight of horse issue i once raised on yo Outsider Thread here.
Did you watch Race 3 today, Rhapsody was smashed from 15/1 to 4/1. Trying to find out why since there is no form. Just picked up this decrease in horse weight/mass. Doesnt it trigger performance? I dont know.
