Zac Purton at one stage was less than 5-10 to win the jockey challenge.
In a battle with Vincent Ho going into the last leg.
Ho is actually in front now.

And as by his nickname,Zac has messed it up again.
He lost on 6 favorites today and 4 of them out the money.
A disaster of a jockey on favorites,I'm surprised the trainers in HK haven't picked up on this.

Did you watch Race 3 today, Rhapsody was smashed from 15/1 to 4/1. Trying to find out why since there is no form. Just picked up this decrease in horse weight/mass. Doesnt it trigger performance? I dont know.

I actually backed this horse today. Will explain my reasons later....going fishing now. 4 more similar horses won over CD with a similar 'system' this season so far

RHAPSODY...

let me start by saying I'm not a 'form student' so I don't have a simple answer like Horse A beat Horse B ect ect lol

A few reasons why I liked him...

His last run was 1 of 3 MAIN REASONS...

1) SECTIONAL TIMES

Hope you read SIMON ROWLANDS article about Sectional times(that helps ALOT with HK Racing)

Anyways...The average FIN SPD of a C4 1200M at SHA TIN is 101.02%. Rhapsody's last run race FIN SPD was 99.34% meaning it was run at a fast pace and in context to other races that that (although the Track was running fast) it was pretty decent for C4!

Any RACE where the FIN SPD is +1.5% faster an class average I mark up as these races produce good priced winners more often than not.

2) FITNESS/TRACKWORK

As you pointed out the horse dropped a considerable amount of weight and it SHOWED in trackwork!!!! His last gallop before the run he was cruising in 1 of his best track work times... First time out he wasn't as fit so he got only 1'thumbs up' from the HK FITNESS team whereas this time around he got 2 'thumbs up' when horses drop weight we can't just assume that they are fitter/or have improved...it normally shows in gallons.

3) Jockey Strike + Trainer

Trainer SIZE is normally 'slow' at getting his horses to their peak fitness wise giving them 3-5 Barrier trials. But when his drops weight so much so fast and he gets a TOP JOCK on-board...better sit up and take note.

That's basically my reasons...but it all started becoz the horse came from a race I RATED HIGHLY ...and than looked further into the form. It might sound long winded but it's actually a very fast process.

PREVIOUS FORM

I normally make a short list of 5-6 horses per race...Than check the last 3-5 runs of the horse. His 1st 2 runs was VERY GOOD indeed...and when I looked at it...for me the COMPUTER TEAMS backed him based on those two runs aswell.

Hong Kong great is my best bet today @10/1, besides the horse being a stayer he has been showing nice speed at the trials and with a handy position should give sight with inform Matthew Chadwick.

Done in your first leg of your win canadian Eram,by Zac 'the chop' Purton.
He was running on the heels of horses a few times there and finishes second to last on the 11-10 favorite.
And now in race 5 he manages to run the 15-10 favorite out the money again.
How the hell did this oke become HK champion jockey?

Managed to stay in my PA just because Purton was on the favorite so I had to add a few more.

Zac Purton lost on 5 favorites today.
Must have been very short to win the jockey challenge but lost that to Alexi Badel
