Buying Tesla/International shares in South Africa

Hi clanners,

Is there anyone on here that is knowledgeable in this field? Which is the best platform to buy international shares (not necessarily the cheapest). I have come across a few options, but some first hand reviews would be appreciated.

I have shares which I bought on the NYSE abt fifteen years ago. I do remember that I first needed SARB foreign exchange approval and a tax clearance from SARS. It was an arduous process but glad I did. All the best.

The brokers were and still are Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.

Easiest way is to register a USD account via Easy Equities. They can do a currency conversion for you. Don't worry about tax clearances as per the other reply if it's below R1mil.
