A Maurice colt out of multiple Australian Group One winner Mosheen has lit up the first day of the JRHA Select Sale in Hokkaido, selling for 450 million yen (AU$4.8 million) on Monday.

It was Danox Co Ltd who won the day in a spirited bidding battle, which began with an initial bid of 200 million yen and concluded with a record price for a yearling out of an Australian-bred mare in Japan.

......the buyer actually gets a lot of advertising milage by naming his horses with name brands of his company products.....Danon Platina now at stud here was raced by him..... as was Danon Premium and Danon Ballade.....must be able to write off some of his spend through his company Danox as he has many more relatively high priced horses racing........

After topping the yearling session of the JRHA Select Yearling Sale with her $4.8million Maurice colt, Fastnet Rock’s outstanding daughter Mosheen again made her presence felt at the foal session on Tuesday.

Ver Co. Ltd went to ¥300,000,000 (A$3,208,000) for Mosheen’s colt (Lot 367) by the highly popular young stallion Epiphaneia. That was the equal third top price of the session.
