There were some recent poker tournaments in Port Elizabeth, run by Sun Bet - which lasted 9 days

It was pretty well attended, with the main event getting over 100 entries (R15k) entry fee.

Some of the high roller events were R40 or 60k entry.

It was held at the Boardwalk and was v professionally run.

I played in some, much cheaper events and had a good time catching up etc, after Covid.

I think they go to Cape Town in November. Well worth a visit, even if your poker talent is limited.

There are 2 rival poker tour companies in S.Africa.

The live-poker market is extremely limited outside of maybe, Jhb and Cape Town.

I used to play in the USA whilst watching the start of baseball season (April/May),
but now with the strength of USA $, it's pretty much out of reach.

Stuff has gotten expensive.
