I don’t know how the two tracks are configured in the bigger picture of the course. The vista of the grass track looks really good but I definitely can’t say the same for the dirt.

Hoping for the Japanese horse, Mandarin Hero.

Tapit Trice, the favourite won the Toyota Blue Grass at Keeneland which is a Trial for the Kentucky Derby. Compared to its last run in the Tampa Derby when it was totally out paced, this victory was from mid pack. A contender for the Derby if the pace is on.

The Wood Memorial at Aqueduct is also tonight.

The even money favourite, Practical Move, beat the 8/1 Japanese horse by a short head in the Santa Anita Derby. The Japanese horse, Mandarin Hero, was running in the secondary tracks in Japan.
