So many players were excellent (especially Damian Willemse) but utterly let down by poor kicking...Pollard will start remaining matches...

SA - France and Ireland - NZ quarter finals...

Ireland celebrating as if they have won the WC just like England did when they beat the ABs in the last World Cup. Their best players were the three kiwis, the winger , the centre and the ref

Without a specialist flyhalf it was bound to come back n haunt us we can kiss this world cup good bye france will send us packing in the quarters doesnt matter which players we bring in we will struggle to beat them partisan crowd n probably best forwards n backs france have had in a long time du pont maybe out but they have able cover similar to ntamack being ruled out pre world cup the cover jalibert has stood up first class so with all that in mind realistically quarters is where is this world cup dream ending

A question for the clever lads
If Scotland win today and beat Ireland is there any chance they get to last 4 ?
Just asking for a friend

Depending on Ireland for if they see SA as a huge threat ( if they meet again it would be in the final) they can field a side without any of the players that played last night thus ensuring that SA go out. Doubt it though as the Irish have won 16/16 and won’t want to lose that record

They would then make the quarter finals. The last 4 would be a step far too far for Scotland

IF Scotland does manage to beat Ireland (and I agree it's unlikely) - and they finish level on log points with the 'Boks, the Scots would still go out as they lost to the 'Boks ?
