Hey Guys

GLEN HATT was offered the mount on RIVER JETEZ but wanted to ride BRAVURA so that answer my question as to how he ended up on FLYING TRISTRAM

1. Happey Valley - coming on well after gelding - Irish Flame only got better of him last 100m at Clairwood and he will prefer the Greyville short straight...
2. Bold Silvano - must support the PE horsie - ignore last run...ticking over...will finish on Greyville track...

Russian Sage, Irish Flame & Orbison to fill the places...

A guy is reading his paper when his wife walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head with a frying pan.
He asks, "What was that for?"
She says, "I found a piece of paper in your pocket with 'Betty Sue' written on it."
He says, "Jeez, honey, remember last week when I went to the track? 'Betty Sue' was the name of the horse ...I went there to bet on." She shrugs and walks away. Three days later he's reading his paper when she walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head again with the frying pan.
He asks, "What was that for?"
She answers, "Your horse called."

Pocket Power - because he's such a champion and if he is on song on the big day and gets a clear run...top weight or no top weight...he'll be screaming through like a bullet train

River Jetez . because she is really well weighted and usually never finished to far away from big brother when he was at his peak so this year she's probably the one to beat.

The exacta of the year. Box Irish Flame and Service Ace.

Reason: Go back to their last run in the Gold Circle Derby 2400. Irish Flame (Draw 3) beat Happy Valley (1) buy a length and who ran 3rd Sevice Ace (2) 6th lengths, all on even weight terms of 58kg. If you take these 3 on their draws in the July, Happy Valley has it all to do from draw (14). H.V only advantage is he is carrying 54kg as to I.F carrying 56 kg drawn (6). But guess what? S.A carrying 53, and drawn on the paint (1), MMM makes me think, a Mrs. Oppenheimer win. I can just picture it already .

Now go back to the S.A Derby run at Turfies. Irish Flame carrying 57kg drawn (6) & Service Ace carrying level weight 57kg drawn, guess what, (1) coming off just over a months break runs 3rd 12.75 lengths off I.F. Taking into consideration this run and the derby, there certainly was major improvement.

Then we must go back to the Classic at Turfies. This is when these two super stars met for the first time and you wont believe this I.F drawn (6) and S.A drawn (1), are you seeing a pattern or am I just dreaming. I.F runs 3rd 3.5 lenghts 57kg off Pierre Jourdaan and S.A runs fifth 1.25 lengths off 57kg I.F. And if you really look into this race a little further, you will notice that a lot of the horses running in the July were behind them. e.g. Orbison, Flying Tristram.

Taking the classic compered to the derby into consideration, both these horsies are crying out for this distance once again I'm not sure if this is just coinsidental but they are meeting each other for the 3rd time at the excact same draws, will be the horses to beat.

My verdict. S.A will give I.F a lot to think about this time round and out of Fort Wood, S.A will certainly go on to improve and carrying a deficit of 3kg drawn on the paint imo, takes the trophy.

I will be roving these 2 in my quat and boxing them with: Orbison,Flying Tristram,Bold Silvano,River Jetez, Vertical Takeoff, Ancestral Fore & Happy Valley and I will certainly be loading up on the swingers.:)

I like IRISH FLAME to win the july..... for no other reason than, he is one of the best 3 y.old around, good draw at 6, TOP JOCK IN K.B.SHEA - one couldn't ask for a better preparation........ on paper he stands out LIKE A DOG'S BALL.......... why is everyone backing against him to win ? Nothing wrong with the 4 / 1

Fort vogue a place chance.... I think BOTH Mike's together will have the quartet..but which ones ? LLOYD looking for that 1st JULY WIN, don't rule out RIVER JETEZ...perhaps Jeff will show us what he'e learnt overseas.

Double - K.B.SHEA - KAVANAGH / IRISH FLAME.
