Good morning all and trying to get back to normal after a great weekend and hope you all enjoyed the July.
Well done to the winners of the competition and thanks again to the bookies,............Comp Results
I would also like to thank the Fouries and Gold Circle for making us very welcome during our visit.
The comedy evening was great and Gill and Helen gave us a day to remember in the Gold Circle press box.
I enjoyed walking along the shore
you find some beautiful shells, here is Mishell
Its funny how the drive down was a pleasure and the coming home felt so much longer? We managed to pop our heads into the "studio" where Kevin and his team do a great job to disseminate the prices.

So the journey home was not so bad and I found another way to order a beer..........
Try the Bierfassel on Nottingham road
I must say the July was one great party day apart from the results and a visit to Umhulanga in superb weather made it a good bucket list choice.
Very sad to read about the horse at the big T which must have put a damper on the days events..........Forum
I feel very flat so have to check for the next high and I guess the Emerald Cup on the 25th Sept could be a good day at the races, an ad in the Citizen offering prizes of R150,000 so will be giving it a bash.
It would be great to go to York for the Ebor meeting 17th to 20th August but the names Wally not Molly (enjoy Dave). The International Stakes where the latest superstar Harbinger should be hard to beat and then possibly the Arc to take on Fame and Glory in early Oct? in addition the Ebor has Harris Tweed at the top of the boards, Yorkshire Oaks where the Oaks winner Snow Fairy, Sariska and Midday are likely contenders. Nunthorpe on the last day has Star-spangled banner as fav on what should prove to be a great 4 days racing.
The UK soccer gets underway with Chelsea 8/10 and UTD 12/10 ready to set the stage on Sunday, after the World Cup expect a big upswing in soccer bets and with no tax sports bets get stronger by the day.
Not sure if we still have betting on the Tri-nations but the All Blacks have been awesome, 11/10 for World Cup they always look the best and always prove me wrong but maybe this time? I am sure Garrick will have some comment.
AP is on the drift due to some female named Jessica Ennis? wonder if she is related to Peter = P.Ennis for the younger visitors he was a jockey but what a name to give a child always had a laugh when I seen his name in the racecard he won a few races by a short head.
Have a good week and remember we have a long weekend to look forward to and Mrs S has just told me we are going to see the big 5 tonight in Pretoria? Is the zoo open?
No its at the Barnyard: Elton John, Tina Turner, Madonna, Rod Stewart and Michael Jackson...............good news a midweek break, diet again on back burner.
Good punting!
