Words fail me - first Morne Steyn for some reason can not kick a penalty into touch - a schoolboy error; then the ref can't spot a forward pass which leads to Mccaw's try (which could have just as easily not been allowed); then we get shoved off the ball once too often and just to seal it, we miss the final tackle; unfortunately it seems as if the majority of the senior Boks have grown too old and the younger ones are not yet good enough to step into their shoes - at this stage it's difficult to see us defend our crown and the way we are playing we will be lucky to make the semi's next year.

Some brighter aspects include the performance of Hougaardt at scrumhalf; I thought Aplon had a decent game at fullback; the return of Smith at flank gave some hope and our defence (apart from that last blunder) was OK.

In the words of our friendly racing presenter for the Cape: 'Where do we go from here?'

Springbok meat very tasty if done correctly.

I DUNNO what part of the springbok in a whoagat but i guess the flank is a piece of the hind quarter.

Thank God for soccer and Jukskei

Shayne try it with chocolate/chilli sauce.

Back to the game also cannot understand how they blew it, must say thought they played way above my expectations and up to the last few minutes the entire stadium had a type of "Mandela magic" vibe, but guess not is all lost for the future? (your inputs Garrick, please)

A great comeback after been 0-14 after 5 minutes. Lets hope that they can follow up in Bloem of Saturday with another win. Juan Smith has made a huge difference to the breakdown and lineout. Habana has not been himself this tri nations ( just a dip in form). Hougaard at scrum half has been a revelation.

Words are beyond me to describe the emptiness in my stomach after losing that match.

One can't expect to win a game after falling behind by 31 to 6; although I have to say that last penalty left a bitter taste in my mouth as well.

Though the bigger question remains what we should do now - should we let the olders guys go - there seems to be quite a lot of talent among the younger players seen in the Currie Cup - or should we stick with this team for the World Cup next year? And I don't know the answer::o

Frodo a case can be put forward in defence of the results. The first three games SA received 4 yellow cards at vital parts of the game. The match in Brisbane was the poorest display. At home they were unlucky to lose to the ABs and today we should have hang on. The coach makes the wrong calls for replacements (times and personal)

I may yet be proved wrong, but I think some of the guys have reached their sell-by date (the captain, Habana, Burger, Spies and even Matfield - although that chip was something special); those Aussies were just too quick for us in the first half; I think there is a case to be made for bringing in younger guys in the year-end tour.
