Gents, we have La Pucelle running in the 7th.
Ibrox Park should be too good in this field. There are a few things that will count against our filly.
1. La Pucelle is coming back from a 18 week layoff.
2. Although fit, she would need a run or two to gain peak fitness.
3. There is a virus in the stable but we think that La Pucelle has escaped it.
We are just hoping for a good run. Will try to bring that merit rating down in the next 4 months or so (95 for a filly that just turned 3).

Now we'll have a better idea of how good Draconian in, but as I alluded to in a separate thread on merit ratings he should be even more effective over 1600m and is my best of the day. I also like Blue Voyager and Ibrox Park (if La Pucelle needs it - fully fit, she'd have a chance of turning over the Joburg raider). Chill could also be hard to beat and my lurker for the day is Gold Market in the last. If he'd gone any wider around the bend last time he'd have finished up in Chatsworth and that was his first run for the Kotzen yard. He's drawn on the right side today and probably didn't go on the Vaal sand when running a shocker two starts back.

With Rangers winning Ibrox Park should be the best bet and a double with Draconian, looks a good day for the punters (famous last words)
good punting!

I know Ibrox Park should win,but there is plenty of early toe in the race, and if she can`t lead?

Bearing in mind the thread debating the MR of Draconian, todays 6th race is interesting to say the least.
Theoretically he "can't" win if running to his 94 rating and he would need to run to at least 100. On that basis I think I might rather be a "layer" than a "backer"
Safest would be to be a spectator.

R6: I think Tamarillo should be respected vs Draconian. Ran a cracker with Felix up winning comfortably last CD with a bit in hand and unbeaten in 2 this distance and unbeaten only try this CD. Lancelin 3rd RR, Gelded, Delpetch up great run behind Boitara last is another who can upset the fav here.
R7: Ibrox Park does look the one to beat, BUT I see that Delpetch is now riding La Pucelle must still be a definate contender on Jockey arrangements and Zaki stable has not been in the best of form of late....perhaps the best way to go here is a swinger.

some big weights being carried in last race, SEVEN NETWORK not 1 of them, got badly hampered last time, Felix can give him a good ride today, 14/1 ew.
