Am I crazy or is Oochee Agent in race 6 not SUPER well weighted with the claiming apprentice? She should be getting 2.5 and 2 kg's respectively from the top weights (not taking WFA into consideration) but she is getting 10.5 and 8.5 kg's respectively.

If she is fit then it will be no race........

I also like Sauna's Rose. Well weighted in this race and form against Lucy Brown was franked.

really looking forward to seeing how El Jay Macavity goes after a year off and now with MdK, still remember his debut win at Clairwood, looked something special at the time.

Tommy, according to Sporting Post, the WFA allowance for 3y/o us 6.5kg's.

If my sums are correct, the best weighted horses in that race (using Charming Lady as the benchmark) are:

Temair (rated 97, carrying 54.0, 4.5 kg's well in)
Roses For Lizzy (rated 89, carrying 51.5, 3 kg's well in)

As you say, Oochee Agent should be getting 2.5 kg's from Charming Lady. Add in the 6.5 WFA allowance and you get 9 kg's, or a weight of 51.0. Including the apprentice allowance, she is carrying 49.5 so is 1.5 kg's well off.

At the weights, Temair is the one to beat.
Jewel Of Winter is badly out at the weights.

oochee agent is also very badly in at the weights...she is a net 82 and should closer to last than first according to the ratings

Horses make a mockery of the weights, don't let it put you off Tommy:)
