Teletrack pollution - Urgent petition re Summer Cup

I am going mad. Last year Phumelela's very creative marketing department chose Buster Poindexter's song - Hot Hot Hot as the theme for the Summer Cup. Now almost a year on that very creative marketing department have chosen the very same theme ! Now EFF ME, but surely someone could have come up with something a little better. Every year the Met and July have a different theme. I am sure had Phumelela outsourced the idea they would have come up with something more appealling.

Damn, they could have just asked me. Here are a few,

"Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers - The Ain't No Sunshine Sansui Summer Cup has a nice ring too it. It's a crap race anyway.

"Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty - Phumelela's motto

"The End" by The Doors - Surely Sansui are not that dof that they will be back again in 2011 ? They can get more value for there rand sponsoring an AWB rally.

"Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon & Garfunkel - Let Ernie Anderson and Old Man Ferraris present the winning trophies highlighting the murky dealings at Turffontein

"Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who - special mention once again to Sansui.

"Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones - Larry and his tribe.


On a more serious note, Teletrack flight Buster Poindexter's - Hot Hot Hot at least five times a day and it is still 2 months before the race. We are not prisoners at Guantanamo Bay and the excruciating pain my ears experience every time I hear this blaring crap is no good for me.

Roberto Duran turned it up against Sugar Ray Leonard with the words "No Mas" (no more). Please could you post a reply with the words "No Mas" at the top of the post. I reckon if we can get anything between 800000 to 1 000 000 replies Teletrack might remove the add.

What you going on about Harris,think of the savings on Marketing this year,or did they hire Primedia to come up with this theme again?(

I'm inclined to agree. Don't get me wrong - I'd love to have a horse good enough to run in it and this is not sour grapes - but trying to make the Summer Cup into a July or a Met is a bit like comparing Govender's Takeaways to a Michelin-rated restaurant run by Gordon Ramsay. It's just a glorified A division handicap for Gauteng horses run at a venue that looks like a cross between an undertaker's and a disused WWII army base.

You guys are a hard bunch to please :S
