Hibernia, you're right I know little about the game. However I was an avid aupporter of QPR in my 5 years on and off in the UK in the 90s smetimes even going to away games. What really struck me in those times was how absolutely sweet nothing the average football fan knows about football or even sport. I had never before seen so many bandwagonners who sided with popular opinion but were incapable of assessing basic facets of the game. It was not unusual for one of them to loudly abuse a generally disliked player even when he was having an unbelievable game. Funnily enough the fans that did know something about the game usually sat in the side stands in the more expensive seats and were referred to as "cardboard cutouts" by the ignoramuses on the terraces. Having said that I preferred the terraces for the atmosphere and the cost.
The point is that altho I know little about the game, I know enough to assess that the Man U player writhing on the ground should have been brought to book and carded for attempting to influence the ref.
As an expert on the game, could u tell me why I'm wrong in my other assessments of decisions that have recently favoured Man U.

I don't mind if Man Utd win, but the bias from refs and commentators stands out like a sore thumb. Not surprising cnsidering Rooney was threatened with death if moving to Man City. Having said that, Man Utd would probably win anyway for e.g. they would have won on Saturday anyway, so definitely don't begrudge their success and have great admitration for Ferguson.

I agree with you Tipster. If they win fair and square without the help from the refs and they play well, then thats fine in my book.
Your team, QPR, should get promoted this season. Did you ever get to go into the Springbok Pub on Loftus Road when you went to watch them. I went a few times when they were in the Premier League and I like the ground because its so close to the stands. Its very compact so if the do manage to get up they could well have a good home season as lotsa teams will be intimidated by the close proximity of the fans.

Usually had a drink in the Springbok before the game. It's a good club for a Saffa to support with the roads around it being named South Africa Road, Bloemfontein Road and Loftus Road. Furthermore Roy Wegerle played for them when I first became a fan. Yes it's a great ground as far as being close to the pitch goes. Can generate a really good atmosphere. QPR only unbeaten team in England this season together with Man U! Are starting to get too many draws though.
