Discrepancies in the draws

I have notice major discrepancies in fields for Durbanville - Tuesday 16 November.

All the trainers that had more than one runner in a race their horses drew next to each other. Race 1. Joey has three runners drawn 4,5 & 6. Riaan 10, 11 & 12.
Race 2. Riaan drew 9, 10 & 11. Crawford 12 & 13. Joey 7 & 8.
The rest of the fields are also like that.
All Piet steyn's horses drew from the outside inwards, in the one race he drew 8, 7, 6 & 5.
Marshall Had four runners on the day and all drew 3.
Sands had also four runners all drew 1.
Bass drew 2 in all his races execpt in one race he had two runners, he drew 2 & 3.

Clearly something wrong with draws and should be looked at and what do they do now, re-draw?

Well spotted Contest. That must either be the most amazing coincidence of all time or something dodge going on...........or of course that other well known justification ......."thats racing"
Pity the NHA are so busy or they could look into it!

And I thought the lotto at 13.9M was difficult :S

Back to the opening post, any explanation? Sounds like a whole bunch statistical improbabilities piled on top of one another.

The National Racing Bureau regrets to advise that due to a computing error all draws for the race meeting at Durbanville on Tuesday, November 16, were incorrectly computed and published.



As a consequence, Gold Circle has made the decision to re-draw for barrier positions on Monday morning and horseplayers are requested to note the new draws that will be highlighted in the daily press and on Tellytrack.

IF this was not highlighted on ABC, there would have been NO explanation. GC obviouly thought that all punters are "cakes"

Makes me wonder how many other computer errors there have been.

I think there needs to be a full investigation into this computer system. Furthermore it needs to be ascertained how vulnerable the system is to manipulation.

I suppose it will all be brushed off until the next debacle...

Exactly East.....the part missing from the the press release.....

"It's just not fair-Those damn forumites have picked up another racing cock-up,bringing the NHA into disrepute yet again,so we will have to redraw......what a bloody nuisance"

(BTW a redraw is a breach of condition 1.17.5 of the racing operators conditions)

Sasky,computers DO NOT make errors of that nature.....they either crash or continue to do what they are programmed to do.This will be human "finger trouble" but what is interesting is what system of check is supposed to be in place.
