Ebony Flyer .....its a matter of "by how far"?
Great win......i think the jock went too early and she was running on empty but even so she is a champ!

Barry told me a while back that he thought she was the best they had " ever " had in SA ,so not wanting to over hype her i only mentioned it about a 100 times, when a seen 8/10 on betfair today i about passed through myself.
Another thing is there a bigger filly intraining? im no expert but she looks a giant?

Superimpressive filly, will be doing more than her rounds in SA RACING.I think this horse will leave the gap, that Dancers Daughter left vacant for the Snaiths.

I only caught the final furlong via tabgold so if anyone has the replay please put the link up.
I hope Bernard realises he's sitting on a rocket and when he presses the launch button he's simply gonna fly over opposition. I would like to see Ebony Flyer ridden far more patiently in future.
Whilst I'm sure that Igugu is out the top drawer I think EF really is the real deal. I hope the connections look after her and if she were mine I would giver her 2 races before I send her overseas, first the Queens Plate and then the Met.
I wonder if it would be a good idea to send her to the UK for the flat season next year. She reminds of a horse that managed to win a few hearts over the last few years but I don't want to get carried away too soon... What was that? Did someone say Zenya... Nah, I must be dreaming!

Sasky, maybe we will turn over management of Ebony Flyer to you, since you obviously know a lot more about this stuff than we do.

You must feel good this morning Barry, but think its only fair to share with the Clan, a small percentage would be nice.............lol
Plus checking our free advice above to keep the super filly in SA
A quick check on the earnings
Zenyatta
Sea the Stars
Pocket Power
Maybe we should leave it to Team Valor "International"
- where to send her.
enjoy!

Ebony Flyer set to travel after Cape Guineas win
Report: South Africa, Saturday
Kenilworth: Avontuur Estate Cape Fillies Guineas (Grade 1) 1m, turf, 3yo fillies
THE unbeaten Ebony Flyer (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) gave her trainer his third Cape Fillies Guineas win in four yearswhen proving too strong for Mike de Kock's Igugu at Kenilworth on Saturday.
Snaith is now considering taking on the older horses in the J & B Met before sending her overseas - "she has to go to show people how good the South African horses are".
Ebony Flyer started a prohibitive 9-20 and Fayd'Herbe, winning this Classic for the first time, sent her clear two furlongs out.
Anthony Delpech promptly drove Igugu in pursuit but, as he himself admitted, it was always a hopeless cause and he was beaten a length and a quarter with Snaith's Emerald Cove five and a half lengths away third.
Fayd'Herbe said: "She caught me by surprise when I squeezed her at the top of the straight because she took off. As a result, I moved too soon and she was a bit tired at theend. Next time I will ride her differently."
Snaith added: "I have her in the colts' Guineas on December 18 and, if I knew she was going to get a decent draw, I would run her. But I ran Sparkling Gem in it two years ago froma bad draw and it knocked her.
"I have nominated her for the Met on January 29 and I might well go there before we think about going overseas with her.
"This race has proved that she is a filly of high quality because Igugu is very good."

Barry, I will happily take over her management but my standard fee is 20% of future earnings, just let me know where to sign...
In all seriousness I wasn't telling you what you should with her. She aint my horse and I know you've been in this game long enough to make a decision. I might have no leg to stand on but all I was doing was expressing an opinion. I was merely surmising what I think I might do if I was her owner, which you are obviously lucky to be...
I think it's really exciting that SA might have a potential superstar racing at little old kenilworth race course and it goes without saying that it would be great for SA racing if she went onto the world stage and achieved something...

Sasky, if you are charging 20 percent than I have been grossly undercharging for years on end!
I stress that people should not put much into what they read about horses under the Team Valor umbrella unless it is a quote from me.
