They use the tote betting as a guide. Singapore tote is on a 5$ unit.
So if anybody wants to know the approximate price of a horse, minus 5 from the tote dividend displayed and then divide by 5.
For example if a horse is showing $20, then the price is 20-5 =15/5 =3/1.
