Terrific (if slightly heartstopping!) stuff. A phenomenal feat, well done to Lucky, Striker, and all the owners. In the end only Felix nearly spoiled the party - our boys certainly can ride! (And train, and breed, etc etc.)

How awesome was that??
We such a small racing community, here we battle on against each other but when we race overseas... it's us against them.
How is it possible that these South Africans from the bottom of Africa can do sooo well on the huge international stage?
Amazing!
How many times in one's life are the steps one has to take so huge? Well done to Lucky, you rose to the occasion... and then some.

100% in agreement...... Heart stopping and nearly fell off my chair...... What a feat for South African racing....... That blondie sure can ride.....
I was also amazed to see the payouts in Hong Kong.... JJ paid $188 for a win and the swinger 2X3 paid $328
Well done to all the connections
Cheers

I can't remember for sure, but isn't there now a big turf sprint on Dubai World Cup night as well as the traditional Golden Shaheen? Or am I confusing it with the Breeders' Cup, which definitely has added a turf sprint to its roster?

Correct Magic. There's a $1m turf sprint now on the big night. It's the same Gr3 race (Al Quoz Sprint) that J J won last year but it was only $200k then.

Thanks, Sabre. I'd still love to see them give Europe another bash!
