Scotia on ante-post (be careful)

Good morning all and glad to report starting to feel a bit better.

The problem is that when you get hit with hepatitis, gall stone, high sugar levels, blood pressure etc, you have to start giving serious thought to the ante-post markets. At this moment prepared to go as far as the King George on boxing day and again cheer Kauto home, might even consider the Met but at this stage next years 2000 gns and Derby might be rather optimistic.
So just check the small print with your bookies.

Last weeks racing was magic and the Guineas lived up to expectation. We have plenty speculation on the site with regards Ebony Flyer and even posts straight from the horses mouth.

The Cape season is mouthwatering especially these wine estates on the way to the track. Just trying to imagine the Met with Pocket Power, Mother Russia and Ebony Flyer another full house on the cards.

Ebony Flyer

This week we have some great racing from Hong Kong just a bit concerned that it does not clash with Ngong, names like JJ the Jet Plane 14/1 (you might battle to get that price locally) Sacred Kingdom and Rocket Man in the sprint, Paco Boy, Americain, Snow Fairy for the Cup and many more.

Weather permitting great racing from Cheltenham on Sat with Master Minded ready to win the Tingle Creek and a super race for the International Hurdle with Silviniaco Conte, Menorah and my new star "Cue Card" the one to be on at a good price.

Master Minded

We have Miss D running today and Slumdog running on Friday, Miss D has a bad draw but a good jockey and expect a good run, Slumdog? "well life is like a box of chocolates".

I notice our famous/infamous poster AndreW has now moved to E14 6SH, which reminded me of the story in Ireland where Paddy was going to London and his Neighbours, Mr and Mrs Dunn asked can you contact our son Neilly and ask him why he has not been writing? His address is London WC1. So when Paddy gets off the plane he sees a building with WC and goes in a knocks door 1 and shouts "are you Neilly Dunn"? and the voice inside replies "yes but I cant find any paper" and Paddy replies "that's no excuse for not writing to yer Mum and Dad".

Where's AndreW?

As far as the English soccer this weekend, if you are playing any of these exotics plenty draws in store.

Was taken out on Sunday to visit the Food Lovers Market, was putting all these goodies in the trolley and at the same time Mrs S was removing and saying "not good for your new diet" worth a visit, take plenty money.

Picked up a DVD Phil Collins "Going Back" where he does many Mowtown classics live at the Roseland Ballroom NYC, great stuff with many original Mowtown band members.

Have a great week/weekend and may your God be with you

Good punting!

En route to Genoa...coffee shop/tobacco shop
busy on www.bbc.com to master Italian...free course..
Too cold in UK for a "boertjie"...

bookies always price up to the publics perception...
IF there is a MDK with Delpech...it must be short...the public will want it to be short...
IF there is a Laird with Marcus...it must be short...the public will want it to be short...

Also...
many punters take doubles with a tip and a fav (MDK with Delpech)...only to lose the double...
The trick is to look at the race card, decide which must be the fav and then pick horses..

like the SHEA SHEA race..last saturday...
the Laird horse ran a -2.7 time per meter....but the tipsters...commentators...made the public believe this was a champion...priced it up accordingly...
on time it was lucky to run 4th...
result 1-4-5-6 straight line Quartet paid R320.???? (bookie will verify)
