I decided to go to Clairwood today with a mate, booked in the Panoramique @ R125 a head ..... what a waste of money, should have stayed home and watched on TV. The queues at the food was non stop so long that it took 40 min plus to get food ...... I had 3 separate attempts at getting to the carvery without success.
The tote was flooded with "once a year R10 punters" who took forever to take their bets ..... anyway I got into my car and returned home .... still hungry, irritated and broke!

Sounds like the restaurant manager needs to get their act together. I've been to the Panoramique on a Sunday meeting once every year last 8 years on holiday back to Amanzimtoti including this year and had nothing but praise, food always been brilliant and never a queue - things must have taken a turn for worse given it was a midweek meeting today and shouldn't have been that busy?
Can't even get into a UK racecourse for under R200 and always feel priveliged when at Clairwood with the setting and view from restaurant, you'd pay out your backside for that at a UK track!!
