Well, if we can't watch horses on Christmas day we can at least still talk about 'em.(:D

I agree that maybe Snappy should have won by now, but you can at least forgive his Greyville run. He was drawn in the bush, never got in, and went wide the whole way round. That was not a bad run in the circumstances, and I don't think he was beaten by the worst maiden winner in Gauteng the last time at Turffies, either. I agree that Ampere could be his danger. I think Allocation has run in two of the worst fields we've had recently, with all due respect etc etc.

I also prefer Snappy to Allocation. You just have to see what its run to and that inspires confidence.
Romantic Moon is working extremely well and should be the banker. The horse I am scared of is Fairytale Story

@Kabz:

' don't know why you guys are writing Allocation off.'

Muis's yard is coming back into its own. With Anton up (only ride for the day), obviously means business.

Besides, I think that Allocation has a decided edge on Snappy over 1000m; further, I would have dissented.

Break a leg and best to those with runners!

Magic whats your take on that Rom.Moon run at Cwd? I wouldn't have Arewehavingfunyet as my first choice even if the fav. was scratched!
If that run was just "one of those things" then it should win well IMO.
That race got me in circles

I wouldn't worry too much about Romantic Moon's Clairwood run. As I recall the race, she was travelling really well until very late in the race, where she seemed to run out of gas. She ran like a horse in need of a run, but she appeared to be having no problem coping with the course for the biggest part of the race.

if allocation runs in a straight line he will beat snappy..in his first run he had catalectric just in front of him who was very impressive at clwood on wednesday ..snappy has zero scope whereas allocation and even ampere have plenty scope

I like Ampere to run them both out of it over the last 100m's. Draw 1 not in its favour though :S

Pirates -

In this carryover P6, is Romantic Moon the banker. The trainer thinks so.
Would you cover with anything else?

Pen reading 28, going soft. Still cloudy in Durban - could make for some fun bowling first at Kingsmead?B)-
