My name is Manny Testa from Midlands Thoroughbreds, I have quite a few horses in training. The ones in question are:-
Blazer Boy- Gelding
P Rose - Filly
Memories of Motzart - Filly
Merrylegs - Filly
Tiger Mountain - Gelding (I think he may not make it in any centre)

Hey Manny, we actually stayed at Midlands Saddle and Trout last year in the April school holidays - have to say it was quite a pleasurable experience - also some of the mares and babies that were around at the time. Best of luck to you with your racong and breeding endeavours(tu)

Orange , first off let me say i am just a punter . My only involvement in ownership was maybe 10 years ago as a 10 % shareholder
in a syndicate of 4 or 5 horses cant remember exactly . It didn't go all that well .
Please with respect . This is just my opinion . I would send these horses to kimberly for maybe one season max in the hope they perform .
Or
I would sell them and wait for the new ones to start racing .
As i said its just my honest opinion . Please do not take offense .

Thanks Antsinner, I understand your sentiment exactly except that when I got into the game I was under no misconceptions at all. My cousin Eugene Sannon always told me horseracing is is not a good way to make money, but it is a great way to spend money. I got into the game and set myself a goal that I would base my success on buying value (OK cheaply) and trying to get the most out of the horse.
This concept alows me to really enjoy racing with mediocor and sometimes bad horses because I get so excited even if they win a small cheque. So I give every horse I buy or lease too much time I supose but for me the victory is when a real battler pays its way in the maidens and then flukes a win. Often at odds of 100/1 or more. (Red For Go; Greet The Day and I think there have been others) The day Red For Go won we had worked her out and the favorite was Galaxy Fair another horse in our yard. We knew RFG was better than the favorite over less than 6f and this was the first time we could get her in a sprint as her merit rating was 21. No matter how much I backed her, I am not a big punter, she remained at 100/1. When she won it was like winning a feature for us.
I get really excited when I buy a horse for R5000 and he ends up winning 4 and running something like 24 places (Victory Belt).
One day maybe one of my cheapies will fluke me a feature, but in the meantime I just have my own kind of fun with my horses. I like to see them run and I love working out problems and horses with my trainer.

Well Manny, you bred a fine filly in Detzky's Darling...she's recovered from her broken hip and if all goes well be sent to Newton next season...
Good luck and hope we get another fine mating out of Bezrin...

Tommy, thanx mate...believe me, me neither...didn't even take the place all to come which paid close to R16!!!!! Took win all to come [Duchess, Polo, Son of the Burg and El Chani] and fell out last leg with El Chani...
Manny, i can vouch for your farm and Saddle and Trout and agree with Frodo and also that Bezrin is the bread and butter stallion of recent times...
I also must say your babies always look outstanding and hope DD's boet brings you lots of joy [and that lovely Modus Vivendi you showed me on our last visit].
Welcome to ABC and enjoy...nice posts!
