Scotia on back to normal

Good morning all and hope you had a great time over the rain interrupted festive season and its now time to get back to normal.

We look forward to a successful 2011 and what a start we have as far as racing is concerned with the Queens Plate and the Snaith lads certainly know how to market an event.

Many posts on the subject and I will be sticking with Ebony Flyer to stop Pocket Powers record breaking attempt but the race is hardly cut and dry with Mother Russia and Past Master also in the line up.........Will she or wont she

Ebony Flyer

In addition we have the Met at the end of the month Mother Russia 4/1, Pocket Power 5/1 and it promises to be the social event of the year? a long weekend is on the cards, looking for a good wine estate for the Sunday.

So if you are not lucky enough to be in the Cape over Jan. I am sure you will be glued to Tellytrack and we hope we don't have a clash from some pathetic venue interrupting what should be a couple of days to remember.

On the subject of record breakers we also have Kauto Star going for a five timer in the delayed King George, we could say he has been kept on ice and any 9/10 is a must for the 15th Jan.

Cheltenham is next on the cards and on opening day 15th March the Champion Hurdle has Hurricane Flyer and Binocular at 9/2 jt favs but fancy the new star Menorah 5/1 to beat them both.
Will be backing Cue Card at 3/1 on the opening day to win the Supreme Novice.
Champion Chase should go to Master Minded and 2/1 could be a good price.

Pic Master Minded with AP winner of BBC sports personality

Big Bucks should again be the festival banker in the World Hurdle at money-on.
Gold Cup day where Kauto has been displaced as fav by Imperial Commander but the "star" should be a great ew at 5/1

Frankel could still end up being a great price for the Derby at 13/2 after he wins the 2000gns at 13/10.

The rain continues to cause havoc with local racing fixtures and its worse in Australia, how do they manage still to show the cart racing and does it never rain in Ngong?

Is the planet changing or am I just getting old and grumpy? It must be the ozone layer/climate change so go easy on the deodorant. I went to my local chemist and asked if they had anything ozone friendly as she says do you want the ball type? and I says its actually for under my arms.

As far as football was predicting a few shock results this year and Chelsea 10/1 from 10/11 have collapsed and although Man Utd 7/10 are not playing great ball they are still having one of their best seasons ever and its hard to imagine Arsenal 4/1 or Man City 8/1 catching the Red Devils, but its a funny old game.

So all the best for the New Year and

Good punting

Scotia
