Do we have the same rules as I often here trainers saying on TV it was an educational run.

VETERAN trainer Reg Hollinshead received a £3,000 fine from the Huntingdon stewards on Thursday over the running and riding of Second Brook, who finished eighth in the juvenile hurdle.

Hollinshead was found guilty of schooling in public and failing to give adequate riding instructions to 7lb claimer Peter Hatton, who received a 14-day ban (January 20-February 2 inclusive) for failing to ensure his horse ran on its merits, while the horse was banned for 40 days.

The rider told the stewards that his instructions were to give the horse an educational ride as he had run on the Flat and might be keen. The trainer's representative said that he agreed that those were his instructions as Second Brook had had a wind operation since his last run on the Flat.

It would have been cheaper to send the horse to Oxford or Cambridge.(:P)
