Barry are you not a little concerned that the $2 million Queens Plate of 2012 will be nothing more than just hot air ?

Tommy: I have owned all of the top 3yo fillies that have left these shores in the past decade except for Lionel Cohen's filly and I can tell you that not only is Ebony Flyer better, but she has done stuff none of them could do, including Ipi Tombe. I never thought I'd ever be able to say that.

Harris, I think the sponsors are for real on this race and I plan to take my best shot with Ebony Flyer. Beats going for the Breeders' Cup, which requires non-nominated horses to pay a lot of money just for the sake of running.

Don, yes, Gaynor introduced me to an English journalist who was on hand Saturday and he confirmed this fact.

Pirates, yes, and that is another reason I have decided to leave her, at least for another year, because a big horse like her can train and race without the setbacks she would face overseas, especially in America, where the races are run mostly on bullrings.

Shayne, I too am cheering for Tales of Bravery, as he was produced by a half-sister to Gypsy's Warning!

2 Cents, you may be 48 cents of being the famed rapper 50 cent, but I like your way of thinking!

I guess I am going to sound like a broken record here but I still wish nothing but the absolute best for your filly. I think she is very special and am looking forward to seeing her prove it (again for some of the other posters).

Those other fillies went on to incredible highs overseas, especially Ipi Tombe. I would like to see Ebony Flyer emulate her before I get that lyrical about her, but you are in a position to know more than me I guess.

There is surely very little doubt that she is the best 3yo filly in SA, and there is every chance that she will get even better. It would have been interesting to see how she fared abroad, but of course I'm delighted for the further opportunities to see her locally.(tu)

I second everything that 2cents wrote. Why on earth is it necessary for her to win a Gr 1 outside of Cape Town to prove anything? Yes, it is obviously great when they can take their best form anywhere (like Mother Russia), but Ebony Flyer's achievements to date are out of the top drawer. As for her getting too big, I think that may be more of a concern for the jockeys who will have to do the splits in order to ride her than it is for Barry....:D

On straight form, Hollywoodboulevard could be in the same league as Ebony Flyer imo, both has beaten Igugu by roughly similar distances?

But, I won't be suprised if HB gets beaten on Thursday - the tracks at Randjies have been very wet, so I guess she must have missed a lot of work
