There has been no rain at turrfies in the last 9 hours i've been told apart from a bit of a drizzle in the afternoon .
Hopefully they didn't water the course this week , then we can race !

Not sure if it rained at Turffies overnight, but late yesterday afternoon they have only had 3 mm - cloudy this morning again, so rain possible any moment - let's aee if they race.
It has been dry the whole week though, so I think even the Laird horses will be ready.
At first glance, it looks quite straightforward to me; I think all of Elodie, Gladius and Mr Black Tom look hard to beat - for value I like a bit Tree of Perfection in the 5th - she likes this trip and is not too badly off at the weights with Hollywoodboulevard , in the 4th Lizzie Arden could be troubled by Olympic Goddess - so only the 6th looks a field race - famous last words

Hey guys
Turffontein
Race3 Lancewood. Agree that 4/10 is short. 7/10 already available on interbet.
Race4 Going against Lizzie Arden. Include Olimpic Goddess, Not possible and Hockus.
Race5 Hollywoodboulevard. Can't believe that 13/10 has been traded on interbet. Lots of guys have made comparisons with her and Ebony Flyer on a line with MDKs filly. If she is anywhere in that league then she should slaughter that field, even if not tuned up.
Race7: Elodie looks the best bet for me.
Race8 Wide open but include Rolling Cloud and Medicean Wood.
Race9 Mr Black Tom is up and coming and should win.
Kenilworth
Race1 Toadinthevillage is hard to beat.
Race3 Jeppes Reef looks a certainty.
Race4 Coasting Avalanche is my 1st choice. Santorina and Chateau Royale are the dangers.
Race5 Banker Ramsden coupling. Copper Parade is my narrow 1st choice.
Race7 I remember Rob Champion mentioning that Alinga put up fantastic gallops before her last run and thats why Karl choose her in the feature. Unfortunately she drew badly and ran down field. At 7/1 she is my value bet.
Play well

Some further thoughts for the meeting at Turffontein (probably wise to go with those that have performed on a soft track):
R3: Lancewood was beaten by some good sorts and I think he would be value at around evens, especially as Colca Canyon should prefer more gorund imo
R4: Lizzie Arden has run in relatively poor fields and anything that improves a little bit on their current form, could beat her - consider the likes of Littondale, Road Tax, Olympic Goddess and Arabian Dancing - watch the betting on the Azzie first timer (jockey?)
R5: Hollywoodboulevard obviously very classy, but is not receiving chunks of weight from her elders - could still prove hard to beat though; watch out for Tree of Perfection, who holds most of these on the Queen's Bay form, and she goes very well for Simons
R6: Competitive Pinnacle Plate, especially as the best weighted Rudra is better over more ground imo - Havasha probably the right one, followed by Master Blaster and Arabian Mist, but Lochlorien, Swordsmith and Apple Princess also have some sort of money chances imo
R7: Elodie too good here imo
R8: Gladius has won well over this trip and seems the right one to me (slight concern that he is racing without blinkers), with Belmonte the danger imo
R9: Mr Black Tom very poorly weighted on a straight line with Cappoquin, but that was over 1000, so Mr Black Tom looks hard to beat, especially as Officer Class is better down the straight imo
Play well

Double Lancewood onto Elodie.
I guess you don't have to be a "rocket scientist" but stranger things have happened. .
