I live approx 10kms south of Turffies and had very heavy rain here.The sky still very dark with more rain on the way from the vaal area by the look of it........Had quite a lot of rain last night and it drizzling at the moment.

Why only 7 races? Why not start the program earlier, like 3:30 and finish 9 races at like 8:30 or so? Grooms get to bed, trainers can get to bed and everyone is happy. Is there not enough noms to fill fields in jozi right now?

even phumelela will be happy as they save on lights?

BUT we will have 10 race cards for Qualified Maiden races:S ... Is there just so many kuk horses up here in Gauteng? .... Thats what happens when you close down Bloem which was ideal for these horses. How the tides have turned in Gauteng, from being the strongest racing centre to probably the 3rd best after W-Cape and KZN??
