The card for tomorrow is very interesting, there are possibilities of some upsets but being Kenilworth the favourites usually arrive and all that will be missing is Sheldon Peters 'breathing fire' description of the favourites arriving.I know there is huge pressure on Interbet for Soweto Slew at the moment.I dont know if it can win,Question Time with the blinkers can make a huge improvement and probably jump on terms for a change.Nice odds currently @ 20/1.Solo Traveller looks like the banker for the day with MAYBE Nysean Bolt being its possible danger but I highly doubt it.The Met - Mother Russia does certainly looks hard to beat BUT given her penultimate runs she looks as if she might not stay 2000m and having said that it bring horses like Bravura and Run For It as strong contenders for top honours.

I have Make My Grey running in the Derby. I only go to the course if I have a Grade 1 runner so this is my first safari to Kenilworth since the Met two years ago.

Those of you who saw Joey's interview on Tellytrack will have been filled in already. In case you missed it :

He is not without a chance although we are STILL not sure that he gets 2000m as his last ride was simply appalling and told us nothing. It is useful to clan members that he is part of a strong coupling so hopefully he would not stick you out if he fluked it.

All I can say is this : Two years ago I was involved with a horse in the Derby which was also quoted at 50/1 and he didn't forget to run second!

At the very least we have the best looking jockey in the race! Lol.

For the record I actually fancy M'Lord's Throat in the Derby and Tales Of Bravery in the Met. But it's a difficult card and I intend to keep a tight rein on my wallet.

All the Best Garrick, imo your stablemate Orchard House is the Derby Winner, going to banker in my small P6....

My computaform is worn out with all the studying, but the more I study, the more possible contenders I find; thoughts on the PA races:

R3: Soweto Slew has run some fast times and has the best Cape form - not sure about Princess Victoria who is out of a Rakeen mare and may be looking for further already - hard to spilt the PE runners and impossible to say how they whould shape against Soweto Slew
R4: Captain's Secret has been very disappointing, but should improve on his poor showing in the Queen's Plate, where he went very fast; not a lot between him and League of Honour on their last meeting and I fancy a bit of American Man who is much better in back in a handicap and strictly on the Queen's Plate run should hold both Casey Cool and Captain's Secret
R5: Solo Traveller the obvious one, but I am not convonced that he will get the 2000 - so I prefer Il Saggiatore who should be ideally distance suited and is backed up by Orchard House who seems underrated off a 90 MR. The Plunderer is clearly very classy, but there must be some doubts about him seeing out the trip.
R6: Gibraltar Blue has the class, but I was not impressed with her run last week and 1600 is as far as she will go, so 12/10 is very short imo. Love is in the Air should improve from her last run (wish we knew before the time that she 'had a little hick-up' before that run) and there is not between her and Emerald Cove; the only other to consider is Covenant who should be right there if she stays
R7: Lots have been written, and at 16:30 today we will see who was right, who was almost right, and who missed the plot completely; just to recap I think Mother Russia is the one to beat, but too short at 13/10 imo; the 12/1 available on Tales of Bravery was very generous imo
R8: Minefield - you need a pin
R9: Another minefield - reach for that pin again

In race 10, I really like the look of Hawk's Eye at 14/1, there is not much between him and Cree Lodge who is priced up much shorter; We Three best in, but some stamina doubts imo

Enjoy!
