New Turf
I have only used your services twice and both times was happy. I am writing this for another reason though. I want to salute you for being TRUE
supporters of racing. I is refeshing to see a company that works within the industry PUT back in to industry via ownership. I is refreshing to see a few lads that clearly love racing, say they love it and behave like they love it. With the left hand running a business and with the right hand investing in the business.
I think that the following people should spend some time in your presence and learn from you guys what our beloved game is all about.
Take a bow!!!
the following hang your heads in shame
Mr Basel
Mr Hawkins
Mr Wainstein

Easy. thanks for your kind words. We are blessed with a family thatworks and supports each other. The 3 boys are doing a stirling job in Jhb that allows Dorrie and I to pursue our passion by training with Barry in PE.
However, we must tell you that Clyde and Larry both support Pe big time. Without their support the tracks and facilities here would be in dire straits.They both have flown here to see what it is about. The same must be said about Graeme, when we had dealings with him at Phumelela he only had the best interests of racing at heart. He was instumental in New Turf sponsoring the East Cape Derby for a number of years.

lets agree to disagree regarding those blokes. Doing their job at 70% is not an achievement and it should not be applauded. I respect your views but owning horses in SA is damm expensive and there are many in this game that take out more than they put in. Putting in a flight to PE and a 500g tbone waffled down with a promise or 2 is NOT the same as you guys running a business and taking funds out of that business and CHOOSING to put those same funds into racing.

@newturf:
Must compliment & admire you also for your business attitude as paragons of professionalism with a heavy dose of trust and respect!
Years back (when I had horses), I just had to phone in to Dorrie and it was done; cart the horse from A to B. You even handled a highly tempestuous filly from the stable of Cyril Naidoo (which reportedly smashed a sheep to smittereens!)
It's people like you who make our lives meaningful and elevate whatever you involved in to new heights .... God bless you and your great family!
